COLLEGE PARK, Md.-- The High Point University men's soccer fell 2-0 on Monday night (Sep. 20) on Ludwig Field to the University of Maryland.

Zach Haines: "It was our best performance of the season by some distance. Maryland is one of the best teams in the country and playing them away is the ultimate test. The guys put everything into it for 90 minutes and created some massive chances in the second half. Our record after six non-conference games isn't where we all want it to be, but we have played a challenging slate that has challenged us in a big way. We have certainly progressed and the whole group knows that this has prepared us for conference play and hopefully beyond that."
