Fall at Disney World is bound to be delicious.
The Orlando theme park got a fall refresh when it comes to their food and beverage selection. As of Oct. 11, those going wild at Animal Kingdom can kick off the day with a selection of new breakfast items, according to a press release.
The Stuffed Pancake Sandwich at Drinkwallah, Pongu Pongu, Trek Snacks and various outdoor vending carts, stuffs sausage, guava paste, egg, and cheese in between two pancakes. Pongu Pongu also now has a new cinnamon roll drizzled in sweet icing.
Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery will now also be serving up egg and bacon croissant sandwiches with tomato pepper relish, as well as Breakfast “Totchos,” which lather tater tots in eggs, bacon and cheese.
Visitors can wash it all down with Tamu Tamu Refreshments’ new selection of Dole Whip floats. The Dole Whip Orange Soda Float is topped with strawberry syrup. Meanwhile, those over 21 can sip two new alcoholic Dole Whip Floats: one made with Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, and another with hard cider.
For lunch and dinner, Harambe Market is offering new African-style fare, including shrimp, chicken, or combination rice bowls, which feature jollof rice topped with either choice of protein, kachumbari tomato salads, and tzatziki. There’s also Beef and Lamb Kofta Pitas that are drizzled in chermoula and tzatziki; as well as the Harambe Salad, which comes with either chicken or shrimp. Flame Tree Barbecue also now has some highly shareable French fries with pulled pork and cheese.
Plant-based park goers can also enjoy a variety of new offerings. Flame Tree Barbecue now has Impossible Burnt Ends, which come with French fries and coleslaw; while Pizzafari has added Plant-based Italian Sausage to its menu. Harambe Market has also added a plant-based Impossible Kofta, which smothers vegan meat with chermoula and plant-based aioli, and is served with homemade chips.
For dessert, patrons can opt for Harambe Market’s Mango Passion Fruit Cheesecake, for a tropical end to the day.
Outside the Animal Kingdom, according to a press release from the park, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge has a wide range of new menu items at Geyser Point, including: Crispy ‘Peking’ Ribs, Geyser Chicken Wings in both chili or Sriracha Buffalo sauce, a charcuterie flatbread, and a turkey BLT. The restaurant also has three new plant-based items, including the Mac and ‘Cheese’ bites; a veggie burger with ‘cheese,’ and a multigrain salad with tofu. Pair it with the new Pineapple Mule, which mixes Uncle Nearest 1884 Small Batch Whiskey, Hella Cocktail Co. Ginger Bitters, pineapple juice, ginger beer, and mint.
Hopping over to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, there are several new menu items at Three Bridges Bar and Grill. Visitors can get things started with Korean Fried Chicken Bao Buns which come with lime mayo, sweet-and-spicy gochujang sauce, ‘kimchi’ pickles, and radish; tamarind soy-glazed pork ribs, classic ceviche, or the Villa del Lago Wedge Salad, which combines iceberg lettuce, chorizo, bleu cheese, marinated tomatoes, and avocado dressing.
For main events, the restaurant now offers pork carnitas tacos which come with black beans and rice; a Three Bridges signature burger, and plancha-seared mahi mahi and shrimp. When dessert rolls around, finish it off with warm churros, which come with three dipping sauces: tequila caramel, spiced chocolate, and mango-chamoy. Or go for the coconut flan, which comes with passionfruit sauce, mango, and hibiscus. And in terms of night caps, there’s a Cold Brew Old Fashioned.
At Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Banana Cabana is introducing the Banana Cabana Burger, which gets its name from adding crunchy plantains to the sandwich. Visitors can also now get Guava Buffalo or Rum Barbecue wings, as well as seafood fritters or coconut shrimp.
These menu updates coincide with celebrations for Disney’s 100th birthday. The company is celebrating in part by bringing back the iconic Genie character in a short film, voiced by the late Robin Williams. Using outtakes from the original Aladdin recordings, they were able to paste together sound bytes, thanks to permission from the actor’s family, to ultimately bring his character back.
