Princess Eugenie Says It's 'Really Hard to Shake the Baby Weight' After Welcoming Second Son - PEOPLE

Princess Eugenie is speaking candidly about life as a mom of two.

Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter joined the Table Manners podcast, speaking to hosts Jessie and Lennie Ware about food, family and her Floodlight podcast. Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, recently welcomed their second son — Ernest, born in May, joined their 2-year-old child August — and the royal got real about the pressure to "shake baby weight."

"I don't know about you, but on the post-baby body thing — it sends me mad, but I find it really hard to shake baby weight," Princess Eugenie, 33, said. "I guess society dictates that you have to shake your baby weight and all that stuff."

Princess Eugenie also spoke about the pressure of growing up in the spotlight and the media scrutiny of her looks, saying it "definitely has caused a couple of issues around my relationship with having to look a certain way."

"I guess everybody has that if you're in the public eye. I guess within our family, it happens at that perfect age where you're, you know, 13 years old and you've got that dorky bowl haircut and you're a bit chubby and you know, all the boys are bullying you and all that kind of stuff," she said.

However, the family now splits their time between the U.K. and Portugal, which Princess Eugenie said is a "dream."

"I can go to the supermarket in my exercise gear and my hair piled on my head and not mind, not care," she explained. "No one cares."

Princess Eugenie shared that her sons have inherited her ability to sleep well — she joked she could win an Olympic medal in sleeping — even at their young age. When asked how she's sleeping with two young children, she answered, "Like a log."

"I think I've got magic children that take after me and Jack. They love sleeping," she said. "Augie's up a bit early, but Ernie sleeps 'til 8 in the morning."

Eugenie continued, "I think they heard me say when they were in my tummy, 'You will sleep because if I don't sleep, I'm a dragon.' Sleep's integral to me."

Princess Eugenie also talked about schooling her children in the U.K., and how she "loved" her time at Marlborough College, she doesn't plan to send her sons to boarding school until they're at least 13.

"My husband went to boarding school at 8," she explained. "Looking at my sons now, I want to hang out with them. I like playing with them. I don't want them to leave."

Eugenie added, "I wouldn't send them at 8 — I haven't told Jack that."

Prince William and Kate Middleton are currently making that decision for Prince George. The 10-year-old future king has been spotted looking at Eton College, where Prince William and Prince Harry attended, although Marlborough may also be in contention — like Princess Eugenie, Princess Kate also went to the school.
