Fans aren't the only ones who took notice of how rough the New York Giants' alternate jerseys for the 2024 season look.
Rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers chuckled when asked about the red jerseys before saying it's "gonna be hard to swag it out."

On May 16, the Giants unveiled their Century Red jerseys that will commemorate the franchise's 100th anniversary that will be worn up to two times next season.

The Giants noted the look combines elements from three different phases of their jerseys from the 1920s and 1930s.

The 1925 season was the first year for the Giants. It was a solid debut, as they went 8-4 to finish tied for fourth out of 20 teams. They ranked fifth in the NFL in points scored (122) and points allowed (67).
If the 2024 Giants finish over .500 with an offense or defense that finishes top five in scoring, there might be a petition from New York fans to make the Century Red look permanent.
Nabers will be counted on heavily to help the offense improve after it scored the third-fewest points per game in the NFL last season. It won't take much for him to be the Giants' best receiver since Odell Beckham Jr. was traded after the 2018 season.
Darius Slayton has led the Giants in receiving yards four times in the past five seasons. His highest single-season yardage total during that span was 770 in 2023.
The Giants used the No. 6 pick in the 2024 NFL draft to select Nabers. He was a unanimous All-American selection last season at LSU after racking up 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns in 13 games.
Even though Nabers might have trouble making the alternate jerseys look good, no one will mind if he can put up those types of numbers for the Giants.
